sarah-scribbles asked: I have dry, thick hair. My hair grows at a relatively fast pace. But I'd like something to help grow out my hair a couple of inches and help maintain shine and texture. I'm not expecting miracles, but what kind of vitamins or supplements would be good for this?

top 10 foods for healthy hair!
“Lather, rinse, repeat” may be standard advice, but shampoo and conditioner alone won’t give you the healthy hair you crave. For the most luxurious locks possible, you’ll need to step out of the shower, and into the kitchen. “Your hair grows about 1/4 to 1/2 inch every month, and the foundation of all of our new hair, skin, and nail growth is the nutrients we...

Since I read a post of one of your followers concerning coconut oil and it’s advantages I started looking it up myself, and seriously, It sounds like a miracle potion haha! It reduces the protein loss in your hair when you wash it, which means your hair won’t be so brittle or prone to breaking anymore. Needles to say I went and bought myself a jar of organic extra virgin coconut oil at...

w-anch0r asked: Brazilian blowdry is amazing. It's a semi permanent straightener and it's meant to be quite conditioning! Quite alot of salons are doing them at the moment because they're so good.

biancadawn asked: Hey there, I have extremely naturally curly hair aswell....
I've found a way to relax the curls for myself is to use anti frizz shampoo, or specific shampoo for curls, and brush my hair whilst in the shower, use a matching leave in conditioner.... And leave it down, towel dry... And if you can handle it leave it completely down.
That tames my curls a fair bit.
I really...

Hello ladies! I was hoping someone might have some tips for me. My hair is VERY thick and VERY curly. I’ve been trying to grow it out; it’s about shoulder length now. (It was waist length, and my friend buzzed it about 3 years ago.) Anyway, due to my length and texture, I “have to” heat style, but I hate damaging my hair. Are there any ways to style/relax my curls without...

tomfooleryy-deactivated20120414 asked: for the person with thick, wavy hair: I have the same type of hair, and what I would do is go back to the stylist, let them know that you are not happy and get some layers (or thinning out like deerghosts said). Layers will help bring out the wave and make it less "poofy". You can get lots of layers without taking ANY length off so your hair will still be long since you're trying to...

oxomoco asked: The girl with the thick hair: I don't have thick hair, but I would suggest just going back to the hairdresser and saying you got home, washed it and realised that the cut wasn't exactly how you wanted and explain to her you want it thinned out a bit.

capharnaumic asked: Please help!! (first sorry for my bad English)
I have a serious problem with hair growth.
The longest hair I ever had is now, which barely touches my shoulders, and I'm dying for hair at least a bit past my breasts.
I don't know why it doesn't grow fast, note that I don't eat salad/tomatoes but I don't know if this has anything to do with it.

aboutlastfriday asked: HELP!
I have pretty thick wavy hair that I tend to leave natural (ie not straightened) and I went for a small trim as I am trying to grow it and keep it healthy, the hairdresser cut it very blunt! Makes my hair look even thicker and very blocky!
Does anyone who follows this lovely lady's blog know how I can fix this?!

dontmakeapromiseyoucantkeep asked: I'm super new to actually using tumblr so I don't even know if this is the right place for this but, I've got a hair tip:
I've been attempting to grow out my hair for a year now after slicing it all off just months before my wedding (terrible, terrible planning). It's been quite difficult because I have to keep my hair bright red (it's naturally dark brown)...

Leave in Conditioner
beautytips411: Do you have dry hair? Try a leave in conditioner. I find that it works a lot better then a hair serum. Just put a little in your hair when it’s damp and style as usual. I use the Macadamia Nourishing Leave-In Cream. It makes my hair shine and makes it really soft.

My hair gets really oily/greasy and I have to wash it everyday, and I know thats not good for your hair and I want to stop. How do I train my hair in order to get it to go without needing to be washed everyday?
